Let The Happy Propaganda Begin

The fact that media day is actually being hyped as an event shows how much has changed in such a short period of time. I'm glad the C's are going Mediterranean on us, because that makes them harder for the media to cover. I don't imagine many local writers taking the hop over the pond when the Sox are about to hit the playoffs and Randy Moss just scored six touchdowns against the Bengals. Thank God. We are gonna be so inundated with happy shit the next few weeks, I don't need extra grease from local Chowda-Heads that can't tell the difference between Scalabrine and Big Baby. So enjoy media day, this is everybody's chance to gloat over Summer's fruits. But then let's get down to business and see if anything can be gauged while the C's are over in Europe.

As a note to everyone, the comments have been getting a little off topic the past few days - let's keep it celtics and basketball related. Cheers...

Tim - Couldn't agree more. Let's hope Doc visits the Wizard of Oz while he's over in Europe and get a brain like the scarecrow.

Also don't know who this "Mike" character who types out his spoken word poetry thoughts on the C's, but don't mistake him for the guy who watched the Big Al, Powe, Rondo, Gerald, et. al in the Bayside office at 843 Mass. Ave. We should consider a registration policy.

thanks boys. i'm fighting addiction.

anyway- i've heard the c's have been playing the last three weeks in waltham together. i know this is an anti-doc website, but can't we at least hope for the the three thirty-plus guys to coach themselves?
the more alpha-dogs, the better, as we have a guy who is more than willing to coach us out of games. remember, kg and flip were mildly discordant, as kg hated flip's reluctance to control and lead. kevin demands out of his coaches what he demands out of his teammates- competence. if doc does what he does best, and even you guys can't dispute his rep around the league as a talented x and o guy offensively, he can't completely kill us.

let's also not forget the challenge of taking on three superstars. george karl, professor headcase but an excellent game-coach, didn't exactly solve the carmelo-AI connundrum last year. elite guys take time to mesh, as witnessed by the 2006/'04/'00 debacles. if months 1-3 don't work out, don't blame doc, blame chemistry.
